Ed was a husband, father, and mentor. He represented all the positive aspects of the human experience- love and compassion, strength and humor. Ed remains the gold standard in friendship, work, and play.
Ed was born in Oakland, CA and worked for Pacific Gas & Electric for 41 years, which brought him to the Colfax area in 1971. He participated as a player as well as coach for numerous sports teams and as a member of the Colfax Recreation Association, donated hours of his time to events such as little league breakfasts, softball tournaments, and the annual Fourth of July celebrations. Ed was also a "mainstay" of the Colfax High Falcons football chain gang where he always wore shorts- regardless of the weather. Ed's greatest pleasures included summer camping trips with his family and friends at Lake Valley. He will always be known as our "Dominant Male."
He is survived by wife Teresa, daughter Mallory, son Edward IV. He will also be greatly missed by his mother, Ruth, sisters, Theresa and Joan, brother, Steve, as well as his numerous friends. He truly touched the lives of all he encountered.
